About this role

Our client, is a nationwide civil and structural engineering consultancy, looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant for their Manchester Office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful company on a part time basis in a multi-purpose role with a variety of tasks working 25 hours per week.

Duties include:

This part time Admin Assistant position is a multi-purpose role with a variety of tasks.  These tasks include:

  • Dealing with our approved sub-contractor spreadsheet ensuring all details are up to date including insurance information/certificates
  • Chasing companies when Insurances are due to expire
  • Ordering of office stationery/supplies
  • Administration support to the SIGS (Sound insulation Grant Scheme) – making appointments, dealing with enquiries
  • Manage parking spreadsheet/app and office attendance record, ensuring staff are completing as per office procedure
  • Telephone switchboard
  • In-out board – check staff keeping up to date by undertaking a daily cross-check
  • Telephone switchboard – respond to telephone enquiries, taking messages etc
  • PPE/Equipment – ordering of office PPE/equipment, keeping records of stock
  • Bank deposits
  • Scanning
  • Filing (paper and electronic)
  • Visitor greeting and arrangements
  • Local supplies/errands
  • Make appointments for staff
  • Book travel/accommodation for staff
  • Photocopying
  • Post-incoming & outgoing
  • Miscellaneous administration tasks/any other duties

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate for this part time Admin Assistant role will possess:

  • Previous extensive administration experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of MS office products – predominantly Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be organised and methodical in approach to work
  • Be able to manage workload in an environment with ever-changing priorities
  • Be able to multi-task with minimal supervision

Job Details:

The successful candidate for this role will be able to expect the following:

Salary:  £23,000 per annum pro rata (£11.80 per hour)

Hours:  25 hours per week – to be negotiated

Holiday:  25 days per year (plus 1 extra day at Christmas) and Bank Holidays pro rata
