About this role
Our client, a forward thinking and dynamic company based in Stockport are looking to recruit a Management Accounts Assistant to join their company, ideally on a temp to perm basis. This role is offered on with part time hours over 3 days per week worked on a hybrid basis of 2 days in the office and 1 day WFH. The Role:
The main duties of this Management Accounts Assistant will include:
- Contribute and assist the Finance Manager in delivering monthly management accounts, periodic forecasting and budgeting.
- Daily upload into Invoice finance company’s online system and draw down available funds.
- Own certain month end processes by: ensuring banks are reconciled, PLEO is reconciled, STRIPE is reconciled and efficient processing of invoices and credit notes to given deadline.
- Monitor and organise Accounts inbox and investigate any queries and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Manage Fixed Asset register and post monthly depreciation journal.
- Monitoring debtor and creditor ledgers to ensure accuracy of input
- Journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assisting with Purchase ledger & Sales ledger invoice processing work and bank allocations
- Working closely with colleagues both inside and outside of finance.
- Getting involved in ad-hoc finance projects.
The Person Specification:
The successful candidate for this Management Accounts Assistant will:
- Be able to demonstrate experience of working in a professional, busy and demanding SME environment
- Previous relevant experience in a similar accounts role
- Good numeracy skills along with knowledge of MS Office and Xero accounting software
- PLEO, STRIPE and Approval Max experience is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good attention to detail, self-motivation, persistences, resilience and dedication to deadlines
- Experience in a fast paced environment as this role deals with high volume transactions
- Have strong organisational and time management skills

The company offer the following package for this Management Accounts Assistant once it becomes permanent:
- Competitive salary within the range of £28,000 – £34,000 per annum pro rata
- Hybrid working available – 2 days in the office, 1 WFH day
