About this role
We are seeking a highly organised, confident, and decisive Office Manager to oversee logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient truck deliveries for our client in Bury. You will be responsible for managing all necessary paperwork, export documentation, and compliance while handling any challenges that arise.
This role requires someone with strong leadership skills, the ability to resolve conflicts, and a calm, professional demeanour – even in high-pressure situations. You’ll work with a variety of stakeholders, including drivers, suppliers, and customers, so exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
The main duties of this Office Manager role will include:
✅ Logistics Coordination – Organising truck deliveries, scheduling shipments, and tracking deliveries to ensure smooth operations.
✅ Documentation & Compliance – Handling all necessary paperwork, including export documentation, customs requirements, and legal compliance.
✅ Problem-Solving – Quickly identifying and resolving delivery delays, documentation issues, or customer concerns.
✅ Conflict Resolution – Dealing with challenging personalities, ensuring smooth communication between drivers, suppliers, and customers.
✅ Operational Efficiency – Improving processes to enhance efficiency and minimise delivery disruptions.
✅ Customer & Supplier Liaison – Communicating professionally with clients, drivers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve queries.
✅ Record-Keeping & Reporting – Maintaining accurate records of shipments, paperwork, and compliance documentation.

✔ Experience in Logistics/Transport – Previous experience managing truck deliveries, shipments, or supply chain operations.
✔ Tech-Savvy – Comfortable using logistics software, tracking tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable Skills & Experience:
➕ Previous experience in export documentation & customs regulations
➕ Experience with transport management systems (TMS)
➕ Knowledge of health & safety regulations in logistics

The Package:
Salary: up to £32,000pa dependant on experience
Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday, Friday 08:30 -16:00
