About this role

Our client – a market leader in their field, are looking for recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to be based within their Admin and Accounts team in their Manchester office based in Salford.  This is a fantastic role for a candidate with previous Purchase Ledger experience who is AAT qualified to Level III

The duties for this Purchase Ledger Clerk role will include:

  • Taking responsibility and manage the full Purchase Ledger function
  • Managing the Sub-contractor process from start to finish including the Application for Payments and processing the Sub-Contractor invoices
  • Deputising for the Office Manager in their absence
  • Liaising with customers and resolving queries
  • Investigating and resolving any account discrepancies
  • Answering telephone calls from customers and suppliers
  • All associated administration duties as required

The successful candidate for this Purchase Ledger Clerk position will possess:

  • Excellent IT skills – MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrate a desire to promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Be a collaborator with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Be educated to AAT Level 3 standard or possess relevant experience in a similar role

In return the company offer this role on a Permanent, Full Time basis:

Hours of work:  Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 4.50pm (50 mins lunch) & Friday 8.30am – 3.50pm (50 mins lunch)

Salary:  c£27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
