Location: Irlam, Manchester
Salary: £26,500 – £28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for two Customer Services Representatives to join a well-established and growing logistics business based in Irlam, Manchester.

Working as part of an established customer service team, you will act as the key link between customers, the transport/traffic team and delivery partners. You will be responsible for keeping customers informed, resolving issues and ensuring a high level of service is maintained at all times.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous logistics, transport or customer service experience who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in providing great customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling inbound customer enquiries by telephone and email in a professional and timely manner
• Liaising with customers and delivery partners regarding service issues and keeping customers updated
• Tracking deliveries and resolving delays, damages and failed collections
• Working closely with the transport/traffic team and delivery partners to resolve issues
• Managing customer claims through to resolution
• Checking and querying carrier invoices and liaising with suppliers regarding invoices and payments
• Processing and scanning documents accurately and within required deadlines
• Producing regular reports
• Entering and retrieving information from internal systems while maintaining accurate customer records
• Supporting other departments when required

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, confident and customer-focused, with the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience within logistics, transport or customer service
• Experience within pallet distribution or a similar transport environment would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
• Confidence using IT systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• A proactive, problem-solving approach
• The ability to take ownership of customer queries and see them through to resolution
• A genuine team-focused attitude
