An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Site Works Coordinator to join a well-established engineering business based in Salford.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where you’ll be responsible for coordinating installation, commissioning, maintenance and service activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. Working closely with customers, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating installation, commissioning and service engineers across multiple projects.
  • Planning labour and resources to meet project deadlines.
  • Liaising with Project Managers to schedule installation works.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and specialist contractors.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for customers regarding site activities and project updates.
  • Organising travel, accommodation, site access and inductions for engineers where required.
  • Preparing work instructions, installation packs and project documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate project records and updating internal systems.
  • Monitoring project progress and proactively resolving scheduling issues.
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety documentation, including RAMS, is issued prior to work commencing.
  • Verifying engineer training, certifications and PPE compliance.
  • Coordinating specialist equipment, plant and lifting equipment for site works.
  • Liaising with Stores, Production and other internal departments to ensure project readiness.
  • Supporting the commercial team by monitoring labour costs, tracking additional works and assisting with quotations.
  • Providing administrative support to the Finance team by ensuring completed documentation is received to enable timely invoicing.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience within a Coordination, Scheduling, Project Support or Operations role.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with customers, engineers and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, construction or technical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
